Senior Surveyor

As a result of continued growth, we are currently looking for an experienced Surveyor to join our long standing Surveying team based in Dartford, Kent.

About the role;

  • Review and negotiate conditions of contracts and warranties
  • Advise operations staff regarding commercial and contractual issues, and to provide commercial and operational support to ensure contractual notices are complied with
  • Prepare commercial and contractual correspondence
  • Prepare internal valuations and financial reports
  • Prepare external valuations
  • Negotiate settlements of accounts
  • Preparing Cost/ Value flow forecasts for projects in liaison with Operations including assessment of risks and opportunities
  • Preparing, submitting and negotiating interim and final accounts including cash collection to maximise cashflow
  • Client liaison/attendance at meetings
  • Close working relationship with Operations to ensure early identification and resolution of commercial/ performance issues
  • Dispute Resolution including identification and preparation of variations and claims
  • Assist in monitoring and maintenance of programmes with Operations
  • Ensuring adequate records are kept
  • Procurement, payment and management of subcontractors


 Preferably candidates will have:

  • Knowledge and understanding of contracts and law
  • Experience in a similar role for a scaffolding contractor is desireable
  • Commercial awareness
  • Good communication skills
  • Negotiation/Influencing skills
  • Team player
